Some training providers offer a Job Placement Assistance program, to help you into your first commercial role. Don't get caught up in this feature - it's quite easy for their marketing department to make it sound harder than it is. In reality, the need for well trained IT people in Britain is what will enable you to get a job.

The top IT companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Adobe or CompTIA all have internationally recognised skills programs. These heavyweights will make your CV stand-out.

Often, people don't understand what information technology is about. It's stimulating, innovative, and puts you at the fore-front of developments in technology affecting everyones lives in the 21st century. We're barely starting to understand how all this will mould and change our lives. How we communicate and interact with everyone around us will be significantly affected by computers and the internet.

The regular IT technician throughout Britain can demonstrate that they earn noticeably more than his or her counterpart in another industry. Average incomes are amongst the highest in the country. The need for well trained and qualified IT technicians is guaranteed for quite some time to come, thanks to the continuous growth in this sector and the very large skills gap that remains.

Your training program should always include the current Microsoft (or any other key organisation's) authorised simulation materials and exam preparation packages. Confirm that the simulated exams are not just posing the correct questions on the right subjects, but additionally ask them in the same way that the proper exam will formulate them. It can really throw some students if the phraseology and format is completely different. Simulations and practice exams will prove invaluable as a tool for logging knowledge into your brain - so that when you come to take the real thing, you won't be worried.
